T-Maxx, Seasock Visits Children's Hospital in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, LA (January 14) – Not only is John Seasock a world-class monster truck driver; he’s a first-class human being.

Seasock, who drives the Traxxas T-Maxx in United States Hot Rod Association Monster Jam competition, visited Children's Hospital in New Orleans Friday afternoon. He was joined by Debra Miceli, who drives Madusa®, and Chad Fortune, driver of the Superman® monster truck.

"We displayed the truck at Children’s Hospital Friday afternoon," Seasock said. "We've visited this hospital several times. We invited the children to see the truck up close, then we walked through the hospital to see those who couldn't make it out to see the truck. We just went around and tried to make the children feel extra special."

"It's one of the most enjoyable things we do, but it's also one of the toughest. I never want the children to see me cry. I'm a big softie. I go around greeting the children, then I have to go behind the truck and wipe my eyes before I go and see them again. It's very heart-wrenching, but seeing the smiles on their faces is what it’s all about."

Seasock, who raced into the semifinals in his first Monster Jam event in the T-Maxx last weekend in Houston's Reliant Stadium, will be back in action Saturday in the Louisiana Superdome. There will be plenty of competition waiting for Seasock in the spacious 125,000,000-cubic foot stadium. Tom Meents will be racing around the Superdome in Maximum Destruction, along with Dennis Anderson in Grave Digger®, Madusa®, Superman®, Brutus®, Hot Wheels®, Gunslinger®, Obsession®, Reptoid®, Avenger™ and Annihilator®.

The Louisiana Superdome will open at 5:30pm Central Time, with competition beginning at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at the Louisiana Superdome Box Office and all Ticketmaster Outlets. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or charge by phone at 504-522-5555. New Orleans-area Burger King restaurants are offering vouchers for a free children's ticket with purchase of an adult ticket. The vouchers are not valid on gold circle tickets. Gold Circle tickets cost $25. Adults will be admitted for $16 and children for $5 each. Adults can save $3 off $16 tickets with coupons available at local Advance Auto Parts stores while supplies last. These coupons are only valid through January 14th. All seats cost $2 more on the day of the show.

A Pit Party is scheduled for Saturday from 2:30pm to 5pm in the Louisiana Superdome. Free pit passes are available at Southern Quality Ford Dealers.
