T-Maxx Heads to Lubbock for Summer Heat Monster Jam
LUBBOCK, TX (June 21) – The T-Maxx™ is coming! The T-Maxx is coming! That’s right West Texas monster truck fans, the larger-than-life version of Traxxas’ #1-selling R/C monster truck is on its way to Lubbock Motor Speedway.
USHRA Fan Choice Award winner John Seasock will drive the massive, 10,000-pound T-Maxx against Grave Digger®, Bounty Hunter®, Iron Outlaw®, King Krunch® and El Matador® in the Summer Heat Monster Jam® at Lubbock’s semi-banked, 1/3-mile clay oval Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
“Mike (Hoy, the team’s crew chief) and I have been thrashing on the T-Maxx,” Seasock said. “It had some body damage after last weekend’s StarBoyz StuntFest, but it will be ready for this weekend. We have a 26-hour drive to Lubbock, so we wanted to make sure we got the truck ready before we left. It’s quite a haul. We’re really looking forward to it – it’s another USHRA Summer Heat show. Any time you compete in the Clear Channel shows, you know it’s going to be good competition and a safe, well-organized event.”
Since making his Traxxas debut at Houston’s Reliant Stadium five months ago, Seasock has driven the T-Maxx into the semifinals in 11 of 14 USHRA events, including four victories.
“It’s going to be tough in Lubbock, but we’re just going to take it one run at a time,” Seasock said. “Grave Digger is always awesome and Bounty Hunter is the reigning freestyle champion. We’re going to make them work hard. They’re definitely going to know the T-Maxx is in town by the time we get finished.”
Traxxas, the leader in Ready-To-Race® radio-control models, has broken new ground by bursting into the earth-shaking world of monster truck racing this year. Thousands of proud T-Maxx owners now have the opportunity to cheer the full-size version of the world’s premier four-wheel-drive R/C monster truck to victory.
“I’ve never been to Lubbock before, so I’m looking forward to it,” Seasock said. “We’ve received a lot of e-mail from T-Maxx fans who are planning to attend the shows. We’re looking forward to meeting them.”
