T-Maxx Excites Fans in Summer 4-Wheel Jamboree

4-Wheel JamboreeBLOOMSBURG, PA (July 11) – The Traxxas T-Maxx™ gave Pennsylvania monster truck fans a performance they won’t soon forget last weekend during the 18th Annual Summer 4-Wheel Jamboree at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds.

John Seasock drove the larger-than-life-size version of Traxxas’ #1-selling R/C monster truck into the finals Saturday morning and balanced the T-Maxx on two of its massive tires twice during an incredible freestyle performance Sunday afternoon.

Seasock, who finished in third place twice during the Special Event Performance Series season opener in Fredericksburg, TX, lost to Iron Warrior® in a rainy first-round race.

“We lost our first-round race Friday night, but we had a lot of fun showing off the T-Maxx in freestyle,” Seasock said. “We didn’t win a lot of races during the weekend, but we sure let the fans know the T-Maxx is here to stay. It was a long week and we were competing against some of the best trucks in the country, but we had a blast. The T-Maxx is well-received everywhere we go.”

Seasock came back strong Saturday morning, defeating the Bigfoot 30th Anniversary Truck® in the first round, then beating Mark Hall in Raminator®.

“We had some gremlins in the finals and lost to the other Bigfoot® truck,” Seasock said. “We got some really big air off the pyramid in freestyle though. Mike (Hoy, the T-Maxx crew chief) had the truck working great.

“Saturday night, we beat Nitemare® in the first round, then lost to Avenger. We had a blast in freestyle. The T-Maxx was flying around getting some nice air and turning doughnuts. We did our best to entertain the crowd. We watched fireworks after the show, then signed a couple of thousand autographs. We met a lot of people with T-Maxx bodies and we autographed them. They told us they really love their T-Maxx trucks.”

After losing in the first round to Raminator Sunday afternoon, the T-Maxx put on the most memorable show of the weekend in the freestyle competition.

“We started off with a nice slap wheelie, then we doubled back and jerked the tailgate a little bit,” Seasock said. “When I went to hang a corner, I turned sharply and hit a big dirt mound. The truck hiked up on its side on two wheels. I was bicycling for a little bit before I got it down, but it snapped up on the other side. We were finally able to save the truck and get it down on all four wheels. We pulled a few more wheelies and jumps and the crowd went wild.”

Seasock was busy displaying the T-Maxx and meeting R/C and monster truck fans throughout the week.

“We displayed the T-Maxx at MotorWorld in Scranton Tuesday,” Seasock said. “They were giving away free tickets to everybody who took a test drive. We had a great time meeting people all day. We were involved in a ‘meet ‘n greet’ with the Bloomsburg Chamber of Commerce Wednesday. WHLM Radio had us in the studio for interviews Thursday morning. A writer from Panorama magazine interviewed us, too.”
