T-Maxx Enters Southern Monster Truck Showdown

Southern Monster Truck ShowdownAMITE, LA (July 13) – The T-Maxx™ is coming! The T-Maxx is coming! Head to Florida Parishes Arena to see the larger-than-life-size version of Traxxas’ #1-selling R/C monster truck crush cars and the competition!

That’s right, monster truck fans, John Seasock and the T-Maxx are on their way to Louisiana to compete in this weekend’s Southern Monster Truck Showdown.

“Louisiana is like our second home,” said Seasock, who shares a New Orleans shop with Sudden Impact® teammate Brandon Lagarde. “We’re really looking forward to going back there and putting on a good show for the fans.

“We’re going to be running against some tough trucks, but we’ll be ready for them. We get to race against our teammate, too, which is always fun. When you get team trucks together, you never know what’s going to happen. I’m sure it will be a great show.”

The T-Maxx, along with Sudden Impact, Kicker®, Monkey ‘n Around® and Wild Hair® will compete in Chicago-style races at Florida Parishes Arena Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

“I really enjoy Chicago-style racing,” Seasock said. “It should be really interesting. As soon as we leave Englishtown, NJ (Wednesday night), we’re going to head south. We’re going to tighten all the nuts and bolts and put on a great show for the Louisiana fans.

“It will be the first time we’ve been there since the USHRA show in New Orleans (January 15th). We had a pretty nasty wreck there, so I really want to redeem myself.”

The T-Maxx was the truck to beat during the Southern Monster Truck Showdown at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Eustis, FL, June 4-5. Seasock raced into the quarterfinals on opening night and dominated the finale.

“We’ve been having a good time everywhere we’ve gone,” Seasock said. “We’ve done really well with the Southern Monster Truck Showdown series. It’s a relatively new company, but they’ve been working hard and making the fans happy. Making the fans happy is our number-one priority.”

The Florida Parishes Arena gates will open at 5pm for Friday’s and Saturday’s 7pm shows. The gates will open at noon for Sunday’s 2pm finale. Adult admission for each show is $12. Children less than six years old will receive free admission with a supervising adult. Weekend passes for all three shows cost $25. Tickets are available at the Florida Parishes Arena Box Office, Rick’s Auto & Service Center in Amite, Tangi Industrial Sales in Hammond, Wolfe Lumber & Supply in Ponchatoula, Steve’s Ace Hardware in Covington, Kentwood Pro Hardware in Kentwood, and Bear Creek Western Wear in Montpelier.
