T-Maxx to Battle in Monster Truck Madness Event
ENGLISHTOWN, NJ (August 2) – Get ready, New Jersey monster truck fans; the Traxxas T-Maxx™ is on its way back to the Garden State!
John Seasock, who drove the larger-than-life-size version of Traxxas’ #1-selling R/C monster truck in the Summer Motorsports Spectacular three weeks ago, will return to Old Bridge Township Raceway Park Wednesday for the 25th Annual P.C. Richard & Son All-American Jet Car Nationals and Monster Truck Madness event. The United States Hot Rod Association’s Fan Choice Award winner drove the T-Maxx into the racing finals and treated the fans to a fabulous show in the freestyle competition July 13th.
“We had a blast there recently,” Seasock said. “They had a capacity crowd and a really good show. We expect another really good show against some tough trucks Wednesday.
“Englishtown is cool. It’s a different type of facility. We run over three sets of cars and the ramps at the end go over the track’s retaining walls. We jump over those, then come down the opposite site. It’s a lot of fun to run there.”
The T-Maxx will battle Grave Digger®, Bigfoot® and Black Stallion® – three exceptional monster trucks – Wednesday at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park.
“I’m good friends with Rick Long, who drives Bigfoot,” Seasock said. “I haven’t run against him much lately, but he’s been doing a really good job. The Grave Digger guys who race with Clear Channel Motorsports are always top-shelf. Rick Vaters, who runs the Black Stallion truck, is another veteran driver, so it will be tough.”
The T-Maxx has won four straight freestyle competitions, including all three during the Southern Monster Truck Showdown in Amite, LA, July 15-17.
“We’ve been on a roll,” Seasock said. “We’ve been able to pull off some victories and show what the T-Maxx can do everywhere we’ve gone. We want to keep that going.”
“We’ve been working hard on the T-Maxx. After we got back from the Monster Mania Showdown Sunday, we went back to work on the truck to get ready for this week. After Wednesday’s event, we go to Mobile (AL) for this weekend’s USHRA Summer Heat Monster Jam event. These are two major back-to-back shows.”
