T-Maxx to Compete in Monster Jam at Lake Erie Speedway
NORTH EAST, PA (August 22) – Gear up for the T-Maxx™, Pennsylvania monster truck fans! Native son John Seasock and Traxxas’ entry in the United States Hot Rod Association® are getting ready to rumble in this weekend’s Summer Heat Monster Jam® at Lake Erie Speedway.
Seasock, the USHRA Fan Choice Award winner, raced into the finals twice during the Monster Jam at the Mobile Civic Center August 5-6, and is ready to hit the asphalt again.
Traxxas’ larger-than-life-size replica of its #1-selling R/C monster truck will compete against Grave Digger®, Destroyer®, Eradicator® and Rap Attack® at the 3/8-mile oval Saturday and Sunday.
“We’re going to take them one at a time,” Seasock said. “This whole summer has been a blast. The T-Maxx has been awesome. Mike (Hoy, the T-Maxx crew chief) has been working extra hard to give me a great truck, and we’ve been really testing it. We’re going to go out and run it for all it’s worth at Lake Erie Speedway. I’m really looking forward to it. It should be a good time. They’re going to have a Party in the Pits, so we can hang out with the fans and show off the T-Maxx.
“I spent the first part of the year learning the personality of the T-Maxx, and it’s really starting to click. I’m really happy with the way the truck has performed.”
The Lake Erie Speedway gates will open an hour before Saturday’s 8pm show and Sunday’s 2pm event. Fans will be able to walk the track, meet the drivers, take photos of the monster trucks and have a chance to win merchandise during the Party in the Pits, scheduled for 5:30pm to 6:30pm Saturday. Free pit passes are available at local Advance Auto Parts stores.
Adult tickets to the USHRA Monster Jam at Lake Erie Speedway are selling for $10 (after a $5 discount at McDonald’s) and $5 for children 2-12 years of age. Tickets are available at the Lake Erie Speedway ticket office, Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 814-456-7070.
“We are thrilled to return to Pennsylvania,” Senior Director of Marketing for Clear Channel Entertainment Motorsports Mike Ferrazza said. “North East and the surrounding communities deserve to see the quality, entertaining monster truck racing at an affordable price the United States Hot Rod Association will bring to Lake Erie Speedway.”
