T-Maxx to Compete in Richmond Monster Jam

RICHMOND, VA (November 1) - Get ready to rumble, Virginia monster truck fans! The Traxxas T-Maxx™ is on its way to the Richmond Coliseum for this weekend's United States Hot Rod Association Monster Jam®.

USHRA Fan Choice Award winner John Seasock, who drove Traxxas' larger-than-life-size replica of the #1-selling R/C monster truck to victory in a Monster Jam at the Roanoke (VA) Civic Center February 12th, will be back in the T-Maxx Friday and Saturday. This weekend's Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam will be the first event the USHRA has run on dirt in the Richmond Coliseum in three years.

"We had a good show in Roanoke earlier this year," Seasock said. "I haven't been to Richmond in a couple of years. Virginia is a really good place to go. The people are really nice and supportive, so I'm looking forward to going back for another Monster Jam."

Seasock drove the T-Maxx into the semifinals in his last event - the Fall 4-Wheel Off-Road Jamboree Nationals in Indianapolis September 23-25. He will compete against the toughest lineup of USHRA monster trucks Richmond has ever seen this weekend when he battles Grave Digger®, War Wizard®, Eradicator® and Stone Crusher®. Eradicator driver Andy Slifko is one of Seasock's former teammates.

"I haven't crushed any cars in a while, but I've been really busy with the T-Maxx," Seasock said. "The truck is 110% and ready to go. I'm going to take each round one at a time and give it my best every time we take the T-Maxx out. We're going to let it all hang out and show everybody just how awesome the T-Maxx is."

This weekend's Monster Jam events will take the green flag at 8pm. The gates will open an hour prior to each show. A Built Ford Tough Party in the Pits - during which fans can walk the track, meet the drivers, take photos with the monster trucks and win valuable prizes - will take place between 5:30pm and 6:30pm Saturday. Free pit passes are available at local Aamco stores.

Gold Circle seats cost $20 and Super Value tickets cost $10. All tickets cost $2 more on the day of the show. Tickets are available at the Richmond Coliseum Ticket Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets can be charged by phone at 804-262-8100.
