HAMPTON, VA (November 21, 2005) - Another excellent weekend of racing is in the books for the Traxxas T-Maxx™ monster truck as Saturday concluded the T-Maxx tour of Virginia. The United States Hot Rod Association Monster Jam® invaded the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia for another stop on the Monster Jam® tour.
The star studded field consisted of Randy Brown driving Grave Digger, Ray Marley in Wild Hair, Andy Slifko in Eradicator, Randy Moore in War Wizard, Gary Wiggins driving Stone Crusher, and of course, John Seasock driving the Traxxas T-Maxx™!
“I couldn’t have been happier with the performances.” said driver John Seasock. T-Maxx scored in the high 20s during the wheelie contest and freestyle both nights and made it into the semi-finals of drag racing in Friday evening’s event.
“We always love coming to Hampton, the fans are great and are really into monster truck racing,” commented John Seasock. The T-Maxx™ faced some good competition as all of the trucks ran flawlessly. Friday night, T-Maxx™ paired up against War Wizard for the 1st round of racing, beating him to advance into the semi finals where he would match up with Gary Wiggins in the Stone Crusher. “Gary Wiggins cut a great light and ended up beating our truck.” commented John. Gary went on to be defeated by Randy Brown in Grave Digger. With racing done, it was time to freestyle! T-Maxx had spectacular performances both nights, with wild wheelies, donuts, and a great save on Saturday night. “The fans were getting into the action, yelling and cheering for the T-Maxx™.” said John Seasock.
Many fans commented that the T-Maxx should have won the freestyle portion on Saturday night. A fan, who identified himself as Trevor Andrews stated, “What a run John put on for the fans. He didn’t even pay mind to the cars; it was all van stack for Seasock. He had very nice hits with almost all of the hits just barely gliding his tires over the van with very nice sky wheelies; he even pulled a slap wheelie in Hampton! Very nicely done and should have won the freestyle event in my opinion!”
