Atlanta, Georgia (January 14, 2006) – The Traxxas T-Maxx™ soared into the Georgia Dome in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, to perform in front of a sold out crowd. Well over 60,000 people attended to watch the USHRA Monster Jam event. It would be Carl Van Horn behind the wheel of the T-Maxx for the entire weekend, which would enter the Atlanta show with the best competition in the business, including Grave Digger®, Maximum Destruction®, and Avenger®.
Carl spent much of his time meeting and hanging out with thousands of monster truck fans. He also autographed countless T-Maxx bodies, and had the pleasure to meet many satisfied T-Maxx owners.
During the race, the T-Maxx team had a few problems with the truck but it was still running well enough to be one of the top three fastest trucks at the event. During the Chicago-Style racing portion of the event, the T-Maxx truck unfortunately had a sway bar mount break, which put it out of competition until the freestyle event. The crew worked hard to get the truck fixed and ready to rock in freestyle, and they finished just in time! The T-Maxx started its freestyle run with some huge air over the crushed cars and then some nice air over the FMX landing ramp.
Unfortunately, after a few more jumps, the T-Maxx would face more technical problems, ending its run early. Carl feels confident that the problems will be resolved for the upcoming trip to Memphis, Tennessee, and that the truck will be faster than ever before.
