Jacksonville, Florida (February 25, 2006) - The All-Stars of the USHRA Monster Jam® series invaded Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida for a star-studded showdown.
The Superbowl of Motorsports kicked-off with its annual pit party, where T-Maxx fans were able to get an up-close look at the full-size Traxxas T-Maxx. There was a long line at the pit party to meet Carl Van Horn and to checkout the R/C Traxxas T-Maxx displayed on the tire of the full-size truck. The highlight of the pit party was the 2005 World Monster Truck Racing League Champion trophy presentation to Van Horn.
The action started in Jacksonville with monster truck racing on the slick course. In the first round T-Maxx faced off against Florida native Scott Hartsock driving Gun Slinger®. In an awesome display of power and speed T-Maxx sailed ahead of Gun Slinger for the first round win. In the second round it was more of the same as the Traxxas T-Maxx throttled past Chad Fortune in Superman® for the victory.
In the semi-final’s T-Maxx faced Neil Elliot in Maximum Destruction®. Both trucks had extremely fast passes and in a photo finish Maximum Destruction took the win. Maximum Destruction continued into the final round taking the win against Madusa®.
Alltel Stadium hosted some of the best freestyle action on the 2006 USHRA Monster Jam® tour. All twelve trucks gave it their all for the Jacksonville title. T-Maxx rolled out in the middle of the field and put on an amazing performance! Van Horn filled all 90 seconds with huge air, wheelies, slap wheelies, donuts, and great saves! Afterwards, fans commented that T-Maxx belted out some of the best freestyle action ever seen in Jacksonville. T-Maxx posted an impressive score of 26, which was good enough for a top 3 finish in freestyle.
With this leg of the Monster Jam® series complete, T-Maxx is heading to the garage to prepare for the next leg of racing and freestyle action. Don’t forget to check www.T-Maxx.com for updates and announcements on where the Traxxas T-Maxx will be next.
