LONDON, ONTARIO (April 1-2, 2006) – The T-Maxx Monster Truck Racing Team headed north of the border to John Labatt Centre for the London, Ontario USHRA Monster Jam. The T-Maxx team worked hard to prepare for the next leg of the season, and that hard work paid off. The Traxxas T-Maxx, driven by Carl Van Horn, won all three racing events over the weekend in a dominating exhibition. Not only did T-Maxx go three-for-three in the racing leg of the events, it also finished a close second in freestyle in each contest.
As usual, there were long lines at both pit parties to see the crowd favorite, T-Maxx, and to meet driver Carl Van Horn. Another crowd pleaser was the radio controlled Traxxas T-Maxx that was on display. Fans of all ages were equally drawn to the #1 selling radio controlled T-Maxx and its full-size counterpart.
In the first show, the action started off with T-Maxx beating Iron Warrior in a race that left the audience on the edge of their seats. In the semi-finals T-Maxx disposed of Black Stallion in a nail-biting, photo finish, earning a spot in the final against Grave Digger. When the lights turned green, T-Maxx dropped the hammer and defeated Grave Digger using all of its 1,500+ horsepower.

In the second show, the winning streak continued with a first round win over Eradicator. In the second round Van Horn really poured on the power as he out-jumped Iron Warrior to earn his second finals appearance of the weekend. In the finals, T-Maxx was once again matched with Grave Digger. In an awesome display of speed and power, T-Maxx sailed to a second straight racing win.
After two impressive race wins, T-Maxx went for it all. With a win over Iron Warrior in the first round, the T-Maxx team was on a roll. Black Stallion was next up to be defeated in the semi-finals. There simply was no stopping Van Horn and the Traxxas T-Maxx. Coming out victorious yet again, Van Horn earned T-Maxx a third straight trip to the finals. Once again, the finals boasted a showdown between Grave Digger and T-Maxx. Grave Digger’s driver, Randy Brown, pulled out all the stops in an attempt to shut down the T-Maxx winning streak. However, the Traxxas T-Maxx defeated Grave Digger for a third straight time, sweeping the racing portion of the show. After the show T-Maxx driver Carl Van Horn was quoted saying, “all of the new parts we put on the truck really made a big difference, especially the new tires. The truck is about 400 pounds lighter than before and is handling better than ever.”
With this leg of the Monster Jam series over, T-Maxx heads out to Jasper, Tennessee this weekend (April 8-9) for a Big Foot Entertainment showdown.
