 OCALA, FLORIDA (May 8, 2006) – The Traxxas® T-Maxx™ monster truck team barreled into the Ocala Speedway, ready to pick up where they left off after a winning weekend in Trenton, NJ. Facing the likes of Grave Digger®, Bad News Travels Fast®, Stone Crusher®, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle®, and others, the T-Maxx team had their work cut out for them as they entered the Monster Jam® Summer Heat series in Florida.
 Friday night the Traxxas T-Maxx, driven by Carl Van Horn, marched though the brackets with flawless racing passes. T-Maxx took the victory in the final round after beating the entire field of trucks. Van Horn then took to the skies in the freestyle portion of the show, getting incredible air. The crowd was on its feet the entire time cheering for the mighty T-Maxx monster truck. Much to the dismay of the T-Maxx fans, the winner of freestyle was Gary Porter, who also had a good run in the Grave Digger.
In the Saturday afternoon heat, the T-Maxx entered the second of four shows of the weekend with great momentum. Unfortunately, the T-Maxx was shut out after an early loss in the racing segment of the show. In freestyle the T-Maxx took to the sky again, but was unable to emerge victorious.
 After a disappointing afternoon show, the T-Maxx Team was ready to rock the crowd for the biggest show of the weekend: Saturday Night. The T-Maxx set a blistering fast qualifying run which gave Van Horn a fair shot at a racing win. With the fans cheering him on, the T-Maxx soared over the finish line to take the win. But since the freestyle was still ahead, the night was far from over. With an incredible run filled with donuts, big air, slap wheelies, and terrific leaps, the Traxxas T-Maxx walked away 2 for 2, winning both racing and freestyle in front of the sold-out arena.
As the final show approached, the T-Maxx Team looked forward to ending the weekend on a high note. After a loss in racing, the team focused on the freestyle finale. On its last shot, T-Maxx roared out onto the track for freestyle. It was one amazing run, filled with incredible saves, dizzying donuts, and monster wheelies. When the dust settled, T-Maxx and Van Horn emerged as the freestyle winner.
This weekend Florida monster truck fans will have yet another chance to see T-Maxx, this time at the Southern Monster Truck Showdown in Eustis, Florida, at the Lake County Fairgrounds May 12th and 13th.
