DURANT, OKLAHOMA (August 12, 2006) – The Traxxas T-Maxx was on location at the Extreme Monster Truck Nationals in Durant, Oklahoma. T-Maxx entered Chuck Choctaw Coliseum, anxious to take on the competition. A stout lineup was on-hand, including Avenger, Brutus, Equalizer, and Hot Tamale; and T-Maxx guest driver, Alex Blackwell, was up to the challenge.
The action started out on Saturday with a wheelie contest where T-Maxx went vertical for the Oklahoma monster truck fans. In racing, T-Maxx took an impressive win over the Avenger, driven by Jim Koehler, in the first round on the drag racing course. In the second round, T-Maxx blazed by the Equalizer to match up against Brutus and Chris Bergeron in the final round. In the final, it was a dead even drag race to the finish line, where Brutus took the win by a nose.
The Traxxas T-Maxx was far from finished, as all-out monster truck freestyle was next! T-Maxx was the second truck to perform on the track and caught monster air over the car and van stacks, easily taking its place as the crowd favorite. After stirring up a bowl of dust with donuts, wheelies, and more big air, Blackwell went for it all, launching T-Maxx airborne off the freestyle motocross ramp. When T-Maxx landed from its 30+foot flight the crowd went wild!
