 FOREST, MISSISSIPPI (August 19, 2006) – The Southern Monster Truck Showdown invaded the Scott County Coliseum in Forest, Mississippi, for 2 days of monster truck mayhem featuring the Traxxas T-Maxx. T-Maxx was up against a stiff field of trucks including Gun Slinger, Sudden Impact, Cowboy, and Monkey’n Around.
 The action started on Friday with T-Maxx going sky high in the wheelie contest. Next up, T-Maxx hit the race track and marched through the entire field in route to the final round of racing on the Chicago-Style course, where T-Maxx matched-up with Scott Hartsock and the Gun Slinger. In a close call Gun Slinger was given the win, even though many T-Maxx fans saw it differently. None the less, there was still freestyle to go. T-Maxx hit the track full-throttle and put on an excellent run filled with big air, donuts, and earth-shaking slap wheelie; much to the delight of the fans.
 On Saturday T-Maxx set the bar high in the wheelie contest and was the first truck to tag the McDonald’s flag hanging from the rafters. Next, it was time for racing, and normally there is not such thing as too much horsepower. T-Maxx actually had too much horsepower for the loose track, spinning-out in an early qualifying round. T-Maxx set the bar in freestyle for a second straight night with big air, wheelies, and a wild save! But in the end it wasn’t enough to take home the gold.
