T-Maxx: Two for Two in Michigan!

AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN (December 2, 2006) – The Traxxas T-Maxx® rolled into the Palace of Auburn Hills, Michigan, for the AMP Live Events Winter Thunderland monster truck show. T-Maxx, driven by Sean Duhon, was up against fierce competition including the Wrecking Crew, Spike, Equalizer, and Hot Tamale.

The action started at 2pm on the tacky dragline racing course.  T-Maxx roared off the line in a wheel stand, flying over the cars to complete its qualifying pass in 1.96 seconds.  This was the 2nd fastest qualifying time right behind Equalizer. This qualifying time paired T-Maxx up against the Wrecking Crew of Jim Koehler in the 1st round of racing. T-Maxx blew by the Wrecking Crew for a spot in the 2nd round to face-off against Hot Tamale. In the 2nd round, Sean Duhon nailed the throttle and never let off, sending the front wheels sky high across the finish line to advance T-Maxx into the final round. T-Maxx met the Equalizer in the final round of racing, and the crowd cheered with anticipation as the trucks lined up. When the lights turned green, T-Maxx exploded off the starting line and unleashed a monster wheelie over the cars to take the win at the Palace! Duhon emerged from the cockpit and waved to fans as they went wild for the Traxxas T-Maxx!

In freestyle T-Maxx roared out of the pits and showed no fear; attacking car stacks, displaying vertical wheelies, and catching huge air over the van stacks much to the delight of the crowd.

At the 8pm show T-Maxx, the crowd favorite, took to the track for a 1st round race against the Equalizer of Mike Hawkins. The brute power and torque of T-Maxx was unveiled as the 10,000 pound monster blasted off of the line for the victory. In a final round match-up with Hot Tamale, T-Maxx would have to have a repeat performance from the early show to pull of the clean sweep.  T-Maxx was ready, and when the lights flashed green T-Maxx blew by the Hot Tamale for its 2nd race victory of the day at the Palace of Auburn Hills!

In freestyle, T-Maxx blasted out of the pits onto the tacky Michigan clay. In typical T-Maxx fashion, the truck performed flawlessly throughout the action packed run. Sky wheelies, big air, and great jumps off of the van pyramid got the crowd going! T-Maxx was the first truck to attack the huge dirt landing ramp that was used for a quad back flip earlier in the show. T-Maxx got enormous air and sent fans into a complete frenzy! The crowd expressed their approval for T-Maxx and the bar was set high for the remainder of the show. In the end, T-Maxx finished closely behind hometown hero, Jim Koehler in the Wrecking Crew.

The next event for T-Maxx is December 8th and 9th in Nacogdoches, Texas, at the Nacogdoches County Expo Center. For more information on the Traxxas T-Maxx and Traxxas radio controlled products, visit www.T-Maxx.com and www.Traxxas.com
