DETROIT, MICHIGAN (January 20, 2007) – The Traxxas T-Maxx machine pulled out of the trailer and onto the track for the USHRA Monster Jam at Ford Field in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The toughest names in the monster truck industry were in attendance including; Grave Digger, Maximum Destruction, Avenger, Blue Thunder, Pastrana 199, and others.
The huge crowd saw T-Maxx make a smooth qualifying run to earn a first round match against 106.7 The Fox monster truck driven by Lee O’Donnell. T-Maxx blasted off the starting line and rocketed over the first jump before swinging into the first turn on the Chicago-Style course. Unfortunately, suspension problems caused an early loss in round one.
Van Horn waited patiently in T-Maxx, watching trucks crack-off good runs early in freestyle. The USHRA Track Officials signaled T-Maxx out onto the enormous Monster Jam track! T-Maxx soared over every obstacle and put down an incredible run filled with MONSTER air, awesome saves, and a great cyclone on the Detroit dirt. T-Maxx earned an incredibly strong score of 28, which ended-up being just short of the win.
