SALEM, VIRGINIA (January 13, 2007) The Traxxas T-Maxx Team rolled into the Salem Civic Center for a weekend of monster truck madness at the Monster Truck Winter Nationals series promoted by Checkered Flag Productions. Sean Duhon piloted T-Maxx against a tough field of trucks including Bigfoot, Sudden Impact, Iron Horse, Viper, and Twisted Dragon.
The action kicked off on Friday with T-Maxx advancing all the way to the final round of racing to meet up with the Bigfoot truck driven by Dan Runte. In a close race, Runte made it to the finish line first on the drag racing course to take the win. Freestyle was up next, and T-Maxx put on a great show with good air and wheelies.
Saturday Afternoon the Traxxas T-Maxx team was at it again with T-Maxx blasting its way to the finals where it faced-off against Twisted Dragon. T-Maxx launched off the starting line and sailed over the finish line for the racing win! In freestyle, T-Maxx thrilled the crowd once again with vertical wheelies and monster-style air!
Saturday night the Traxxas T-Maxx began its routine drive into the final round by knocking down Sudden Impact in the first round. Sudden Impact defeated its second round opponent creating a rematch in the final round of racing. Sean Duhon in T-Maxx and Jon Zimmer in Sudden Impact launched off the line when the flag dropped! When the dust settled it was T-Maxx taking the win! Duhon jumped out of T-Maxx and saluted the fans, who voiced their approval! In freestyle, Sudden Impact set the bar high, scoring a 28 out of 30 points. T-Maxx took to the track and threw down a great run filled with big air, wheelies, and non-stop action, winning freestyle with a score of 29 points!
