LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (September 21, 2007) - T-Maxx invaded Las Vegas for the Major League of Monster Trucks event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on September 21st. Carl Van Horn looked strong coming into Vegas against the solid field of trucks consisting of, Bigfoot, Sudden Impact, Madusa, Nitro Fish, Dragon Slayer, Barbarian, Tropical Thunder, The Patriot, Kaptain Insano, Nitro Hornet, and Samson.
The packed house saw T-Maxx make solid passes in qualifying to move into the third qualifying position in racing. In the 1st round Carl Van Horn ran into problems against Daron Basl in Nitro Hornet. Coming back as the fast loser in the 2nd round, T-Maxx nearly rolled over and the engine was killed via the RII Radio handing Dan Patrick in Samson the win.
Last but not least was freestyle. The MLMT crew did an outstanding job with the unique track, littering it with huge obstacles and jumps!
T-Maxx blasted out of the pits and flew over the monstrous double jump clearing it with ease. From there T-Maxx hit the backside of the bus stack sending the truck into orbit! T-Maxx soared 30 feet into the air and crashed back down to the ground and into a slap wheelie. The fans exploded and jumped to their feet for T-Maxx as Van Horn launched the truck 40 feet into the air off the biggest obstacle on the track. After a few more huge hits it was Van Horn in T-Maxx scoring a perfect 30 for the freestyle win!
The next event out for Carl Van Horn in T-Maxx is Red Bluff, California on October 5-7th for the MLMT 10th Annual West Coast Nationals. Check the events section for information on future T-Maxx appearances.
