Traxxas is ready to make its United States Hot Rod Association Monster Jam® debut Saturday at Houston’s Reliant Stadium with a FULL-SIZE version of its legendary T-Maxx 1/10-scale monster truck!

Traxxas, the leader in Ready-To-Race® Radio Control models, is breaking new ground by bursting into the earth-shaking world of monster truck racing. Veteran monster truck racer John Seasock will be at the wheel of Traxxas’ full-size T-Maxx monster truck in Saturday’s Motor Spectacular, the USHRA Monster Jam Series 2005 season opener. Seasock, who previously drove the Sudden Impact monster truck, received “Sportsman of the Year” awards from the Monster Truck Racing Association in 1997 and 1998 and the USHRA last year.

Seasock’s T-Maxx will be powered by a 540-cubic inch blown, methanol-injected engine that spews a whopping 1500 horsepower. The 10,000-pound T-Maxx is set on a Patrick Enterprises custom chassis. The massive T-Maxx is 12 feet tall and 12 feet wide and is equipped with 30 inches of suspension travel and 30-inch nitrogen shocks. The T-Maxx will utilize its 66 x 43 x 25-inch tires to crush cars … and the competition.

The doors at Houston’s 69,500-seat state-of-the-art facility will open at 5:30pm Central Time, with competition beginning at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at the Reliant Stadium Box Office, all Ticketmaster Outlets including Foley's, Fiesta and Wherehouse Music.
